Were eating there yesterday. The place was fully booked and after a short-term reservation we got a table in the upstairs adjoining room. Atmosphere was good, not too loud. The waitresses were very friendly and attentive. Drinks and the very good lamb's lettuce came very quickly. I had the rump steak with fries and my girl had the sauerbraten with spaetzle. The rump steak actually came with 17 fries on the plate! Shock! This is exactly what was reported in a previous review. My girl also had a mini portion of spaetzle on the plate. But a few seconds later there were 2 large bowls of spaetzle and french fries. So the all-clear! The meat was on point and the herb butter was homemade. French fries were also very good. The sauerbraten was delicious and the spaetzle were homemade. Absolutely okay in terms of price. The outside area is very nice and cozy. So I can recommend it without reservation!

This inn is always worth a visit. Good food at a reasonable price. When I'm at the Kaiserstuhl, a visit is a tradition.

The "Rebhisli" on the vineyard is in a wonderful location with a fantastic view - a fine snack and breakfast round off a stay once in a lifetime. We recommend!

The very good kitchen of the "Sonne" - since 1727 - requires a registration if you are not here already like us, 4 people, on Sunday at 5 pm. From 6 p.m. everything was booked out - a good sign for the seasonal, delicious and fresh Baden cuisine of the "Sonne", Peter Ambs and his team ensure that the guests feel comfortable. Some dishes are also available as “small portions”, but that too is generous. My photos were taken when we were already starting to eat. There is a bus stop for bus 7211 “Wasenweiler, Sonne”, but it is only served in the morning. The S1 “Wasenweiler” stop is 800 meters = 10 minutes' walk away. Steps lead to the entrance door. Parking lots available.

Very friendly staff. Large guest house with many rooms. Very pleasant to sit outdoors. Table reservation is recommended because of good cuisine and a very large wine list.

Nice place & good food.

Were yesterday spontaneously visit my family and wanted somewhere before the trip home something delicious food. Our choice was Landgasthof Sonne in Wasenweiler. Luckily we had reserved 1 hour before because the inn was full. We were offered a table in the new very bright guest room ... Since you were very crowded and it was very loud. My friend pretended that we would rather have had a table in the old and rustic dining room ... And miraculously the waitress came and told us that someone had just canceled and one has become free. It is quieter not so bright and not so loud. Fast and nice service ... The waiter a bit stiff for the female waitresses very friendly. The food came relatively fast and was delicious ... Prices still in frame. Good portions

When we arrived at Gasthaus zur Sonne we were met by very kind and professional staff-members. Dinner and breakfast were excellent. Room was clean and in order. Unfortunatley there was no air-condition in our room and the railway+trafficed road was just outside so opening windows was not an opition. I highly recommend Gasthaus zur Sonne and hope they fix the air-condition problem in the future.

Nice service, the place was not too full which made our dinner enjoyable. The beer was really good, so was the food. It is very easy to park and perfect is you want a quite evening with quality food.
